This Yamaha TRB6 was a stock model, originally with an amber satin finish. Jozef stripped it down, and reduced the thickness and weight of the body, and removed the 24 frets, converting it to a fretless bass. Altering the body made an excellent impact on the sound of the bass.

In May 2009, Jozef purchased a mahogany Ibanez SDGR506 bass to take home to Slovakia, where a concert was planned. The Ibanez was lighter and safer for transport naturally, and Jozef sold it to a protege back home after the show--but not before falling in love with it a little first. A year later, when nightly performances with Fuse were beginning to take a physical toll thanks to his 15lb Red bass, Jozef decided a lighter bass would extend his career significantly, so he went out looking again. No competitor impressed him more than the Ibanez, so he purchased a second one--to keep this time.

Deliberately stepping off that path, he picked up a bass after working his “day gig” in a Slovakian coal mine one day, and taught himself to play. And with that, his life was changed forever....Know more
