Prior to arriving in Las Vegas in 2002, Lisa Smith spent several years singing in clubs and performing in theatres throughout the LA/Hollywood area. She worked as a Lead Singer/Dancer with Royal Caribbean Cruises, and appeared as a Featured Soloist in production shows in Tokyo, Japan. In addition to freelancing as a jazz & big band singer, Lisa also performs regularly with tribute group "Shades of Sinatra," and sings with versatile jazz trio "Dangerous Curves." Lisa joins Jozef in this duo, expanding the song list and the vibrance of your event exponentially.

Jozef Bobula joins FUSE, playing top locations on the Las Vegas Strip

On April 5th, Jozef had the honor of joining one of the hottest lounge bands on the Strip when he stepped onstage with FUSE in the Indigo Lounge at Bally's. The move proved to be quite a challenge, as he learned more than 90 songs prior to his debut with the band, and continued picking up tunes until he had the full repertoire for the group. With smokin' hot front singers Cody Gay & Candace Martin and unique arrangements (including 3- or 4-part harmonies) for some of music's most party-inspiring anthems from the present thru the last four decades, FUSE regularly rocks Bally's, Bellagio's Fontana Room, Margaritaville, and large-scale corporate events. Jozef was hand selected by this emerging artist after working with him countess times at Central Christian in Las Vegas. Aaron's CD debuted in late 2009, and the release concert was such a success that Green Valley Ranch invited Aaron and the band to return in early 2010 for a repeat performance.

Benefit for Bill Fayne, Suncoast Casino

Some of the best and most longtime musicians and performers in Las Vegas turned out for a benefit on behalf of Bill Fayne, Clint Holmes' bandleader and a member of the popular Las Vegas Tenors. Among the appearances backed by Jozef in the band at the event were Kelly Clinton & Clint Holmes, Susan Anton, Rick Faugno, Lance Burton, Voce Vegas, the Las Vegas Tenors, Terry Fator, and Louie Anderson.

Opening Night Gala, Grand Plaza of the World Market Center

The Jozef Bobula Trio, with Paul Ringenbach on drums and Joe Spraker on keys, was the headliner for the Opening Night Gala for Spring installment of the twice-yearly Las Vegas Market at the World Market Center. This home furnishings and decor Market is attended by thousands of buyers from all over the world. The Grand Plaza of the World Market Center in downtown Vegas was transformed into a super-sized concert hall where the attendees enjoyed appetizers, open bars, and best of all--the world-class jazz offered up by the Trio.

BackBeat Village US, Tropicana & Green Valley Ranch
2009

Under the guidance of saxaphonist Alex Jackson, the US branch of Backbeat Village formed in Las Vegas, featuring Jozef along with drummer Brian Czach, Carlos Guerra on guitar, Joe Spraker on keys, and singers Staci Wilson and Anthony "AJ" James, along with a 4-piece horn section. The band had invited performances at Green Valley Ranch, and a particularly noteable show during a terrifying windstorm on the lawn of the Tropicana Hotel on the Strip.

Solo at FCUK, Miracle Mile Shops, Planet Hollywood
Black Friday 2009

When the Miracle Mile Shops branch of international brand FCUK launched a nationwide Black Friday event at single stores in each of their top seven markets, they called upon Jozef Bobula to provide the ambience as a Solo Performer. Surrounded by European-styled suits and fashions, Jozef soothed harried shoppers with his sweet jazz.

Las Vegas Celebrates the Music of Michael Jackson, Pearl at the Palms
July 2009

Jersey Boy Erich Bergen mourned along with the rest of the world over the loss of the King of Pop--but Erich decided to do something more in his honor. With less than three weeks to put it up on Michael's birthday, the concert featured performances by Erich, PEEPSHOW star Holly Madison, Zowie Bowie, Clint Holmes & Kelly Clinton, the Jersey Boys, Human Nature, and many more, and was attended by Michael's father Joe Jackson. Jozef brought the bassline, along with Brian Czach on drums. More than $130,000 was raised, benefitting music education in Nevada schools.

Kelly Clinton, Starbright Theater

Las Vegas celebrity Kelly Clinton is a positively stellar talent--singer, dancer, impressionist, comedienne and more, she hosts a weekly open mic at the Bootlegger Bistro (which airs on the local jazz station) and is the House act for the Stirling Club at the exclusive Turnberry Place. While she frequently performs with husband Clint Holmes, for her one-woman show at the Starbright, she selected her own band--including Jozef.

After ten years in the United States, Jozef was finally able to return to Slovakia for a visit to his boyhood home. Naturally, his lovely wife Heather saw an opportunity in the trip, and encouraged him to put together a small concert for family and friends. Joined by his old bandmate Jozef Kalfas on drums and new friends Gappa (on sax) and Martin Ferencik (on keys) the concert packed the room--a huge success with old friends and new fans alike.

John Davidson, Suncoast Casino
September 2008

Jozef was among the band behind legendary singer, entertainer and television star, John Davidson. Davidson's one-man show featured favorite songs from his many record albums, as well as from his Broadway career, including "Man of La Mancha."

Central Christian bass regular since 2007
Under the musical direction of Drew Bodine & Aaron Stewart, Jozef has performed for the main Henderson campus of this 30,000+ member congregation since just after his arrival in Las Vegas in 2007. In 2008, as the church expanded to satellite campuses in Southern Highlands, Summerlin, and the Northeast, Jozef added these to his schedule as well. When he's at the Henderson Campus, he can also be seen via the Central Christian Online Campus for Sunday services on the web.

Originally from Priedvidza, Slovakia, Jozef has earned every lick his six strings can crank out. At 20 years old, and on his way to a degree in engineering, he realized one day that he was on a path to drudgery for the rest of his life.
