Bass, Guitar & Ukulele Lessons
in Las Vegas and Online

Professional instruction for all ages and skill levels, from a working Las Vegas musician.

Jozef Bobula has been teaching private lessons in bass and guitar since 2004. He holds a master's degree in music performance and a Nevada K-12 music education specialist license, bringing professional-stage precision to his students, whether in a private lesson or a Clark County classroom.

Jozef's approach treats music as a language, meaning lessons are built around the full picture: technique, theory, reading, improvisation, ear training, and performance, developed around each student's individual goals from the start.

Whether you're a beginner picking up your first instrument, a parent enrolling a child, or an experienced player looking to refine a specific skill, Jozef tailors every lesson plan accordingly. Students can work toward reading music, walking basslines, chord vocabulary, slap technique, improvisation over changes, audition prep, or simply learning songs they love. There's no one-size-fits-all curriculum here.

Lessons are available in-person in Las Vegas, or via video call for students locally and anywhere else.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to purchase an instrument?

If you do not already have your chosen instrument (and an amp for electric bass or guitar), yes, you will need to have your own before lessons can begin. Jozef can advise you on this purchase based on your budget and student skill level, and receives no commissions. Jozef will also assist in properly setting up your instrument for playing, as part of the first lesson.

I'm a beginner. How soon will I be able to play a song?

Jozef's teaching technique makes it possible for students to be playing at least some basic songs within 3-4 lessons. Of course this also requires students practicing on their own between lessons.

Can I choose the music I'm learning on?

After learning the basics, yes. Jozef has a deep library of sheet music covering an insane range of genres, and finds that students learn faster and more comprehensively when excited by what they're learning.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Jozef accepts payment via cash, Zelle, or PayPal.
